Backup options/Filter - Froggie - 01-28-2025 It is clearly unclear ![]() Can you explain what these options actually mean when doing images, and if nothing, are they only "active" when doing a File'n'Folder type of backup. Maybe an update to the on-line documentation, or at least my understanding of such, would help a bit ![]() RE: Backup options/Filter - al3x - 01-28-2025 Those two options are not meant as global options but as a flag selector for the current folder/path/file filter to add. Example: - You want to add a new folder c:\mytemp by selecting Filter Type "Folder path" and selecting the folder in "Folder path". - Now you can select those two options to further(?)* exclude system files or hidden files for the selected path. - When you hit "add" those two options are represented by the Flags, so for example "SHR" means everything was ticked. *But still, this doesn't explain what those two flags actually mean for Filter type "Folder path", "Folder path + File name" and "File name". Would love an explanation for this, too ![]() RE: Backup options/Filter - admin - 02-03-2025 These two options are not global options, they only work for each filter you add, for example if you add a filter to exclude the C:\Test folder, Hasleo Backup Suite will exclude all files in C:\Test if you check both options, otherwise HBS will only exclude non-system files and non-hidden files in C:\Test. |
