Hasleo doesn't shutdown

Well, can’t reproduce this error in a VM with Windows Server 2025 Standard here. Windows was installed fresh with latest available updates. Then I installed VMware Tools and finally HBS without any tasks. Shuts down without any problems for me, HBS service was ended within 1-2 seconds.

There has to be something else you do that causes these problems, maybe something that got installed without you knowing or some configuration/policy. Did you try this with an official Windows Server 2025 ISO from MS? Does this also happen in a VM?

It doesn't do it always it's way random.

Eg. today i rebooted a Server 2016 and it stuck "Shutting down: Halso Backup Service" for an 30 mins.

So i went to a client pc, open an administrator command line and run "takkill /s myserver /f /im backupservice.exe
(solution if this happens to anyone else)

The Server rebooted instantly after!

Windows is supposed to kill the service if WaitToKillServiceTimeout exceed but in case of Halsleo it doesn't!

So since it's happing on Server 2016 and 2025 it isn't OS related but it's Hasleo v5 related. (never had this with v4)

From Log seems EnumNetworkCompuers.cpp makes it stuck ?
btw: EnumNetworkCompuers.cpp source file is misspelled ?

You could add to log "Service Shutdown events" in order to track the problem.

That "\EnumNetworkCompuers.cpp 356 nRet=0x0163001500000102" line is in my logs as well every minute. Don't think that's the root of your problem here tbh.

Thanks for the log file. The log file shows that a scheduled backup job starts at 22:00:03 and you try to shut down the computer at 22:52:00, but the shutdown is blocked because the backup task is still running, so you terminate the service program at 23:26:24.

Therefore, the problem is caused by a shutdown message received before the backup operation is completed, which causes the shutdown to be blocked.

Hmm seems i didn't notice the backup tray icon when i restarted the server so my bad!

Now about the Win2025 since i reinstall it again for 3rd time (new stuff si i screw things for testing)
