Error 0x0AC021300000035
#1
Exclamation
Hallo,

I now get the above error every time I schedule a backup of my Windows 11 laptop in file backup mode to a self-configured NAS server. In case you are interested, the server is UCS Univention software (current version), which I have configured as an AD controller. This offers a very high data throughput, which should be relevant for a backup system. Backups that I initiate manually run without any problems. VSS and WMI are checked and fixed. There is only the Microsoft VVS provider. This also starts automatically at boot time.
Also noticeable is the extreme slowness of the backup after the upgrade from version 4.9.5 to the current version 5. While an incremental backup under version 4.9.5 usually took only a few minutes, it now takes more than 2.5 hours! It does not matter if you are backing up 10GB or 150MB. The difference is minimal. For the filter settings, I started with the defaults and have since added some file types to reduce the amount of data. Again, no difference. Only personal user profiles and some small folders are backed up directly under c:\. Other than that, there are no observable network problems when accessing the server. The connection to the server is via a 1Gb/s Ethernet cable.
A search for the above error number here in the forum has been unsuccessful so far.
The log files are attached. Unfortunately, I have not found a way to filter out only the bad backups.
Does anyone have a solution?
Thank you very much.

We have analyzed the log file, Windows returned the error code 0x35 (ERROR_BAD_NETPATH, The network path was not found.) when Hasleo Backup Suite tried to read or write the backup image file on the network share, this is usually caused by a network failure or network instability.

Regarding the issue of slow backups, it looks like you've created multiple file backup tasks. V5 doesn't make major changes to file backups, did you choose to back up files on the entire C: drive? If you want to back up most of the files on a drive, you should use disk backup instead of file backup, because disk backup reads the data on the disk directly without going through the file system, so it will be faster.
