USB flash drive sizes
#1
Hello,

I want to use WinToUSB to install a fresh Windows (Windows 10 Education 64 Bit) on my USB flash drive and to be able to upgrade this Windows installation with Windows To Go Upgrader. What are the required size of the USB flash drive? Are 32 GB sufficient? I would use the "clean up system files" feature of Windows before upgrading, because I know Windows needs a lot of disk space for temporary files.

Thanks in advance.

32G is sufficient for a cleanly installed Windows 10 system, and you can upgrade the Windows installation with Windows To Go Upgrader. However, Windows are updated frequently and you need to install applications, insufficient space can cause subsequent upgrades to fail, so we recommend that you use a larger USB flash drive to create Windows To Go.
