the software said it was cloning 562gb how long should that take im starting to worry its been running for about 12hrs and is stuck? on reboot of the original computer software saying
please wait
my wife will kill me if anything happened to to the tower
any help about cloning time would be greatly appreciated
its taking so long i cant sleep

so im cloning a win 8.1 to a gpt partioned hard drive is that an issue the gpt partioned hard drive i noticed on an older post someone said that a gpt wouldnt boot ,if so in that case shouldnt it fall back to the original hard drive for boot
and the cloned drive has been spinning away for almost 24 hours
it did complete 100 % and im not sure if its stuck on boot or if its just going to take a long time because its an old hard drive on usb 2
i do remember seeing the word legacy wasnt sure what it meant

out pf curiosity how long you think i should wait for it to finish rebooting im tempted to just unplug the tower

USB 2 is very slow, so you should clone via USB 3 or connect the destination disk as an internal disk to clone. I don't quite understand what you mean, do you mean you try to boot Windows from USB 2 HDD?
