Please following the steps bellow to convert a Windows To Go drive to an internal hard drive:
1. Download and install this patch: http://www.easyuefi.com/wintousb/downloa..._Patch.exe
2. Run WinToUSB as administrator.
3. Click "Tools" > "Windows To Go conversion".
4. In the pop-up window, select the USB drive in the drop-down list, then tick the "Convert Windows To Go to Local Disk" checkbox.
5. Click "OK" to execute the conversion.
6. Click "OK" when the conversion is complete. The Windows To Go drive has been converted to internal hard drive now.
Please remember that this is an experimental feature at the moment, so it may not work properly.
thank you for prompt response;
further clarification for this experimental feature pls:
what does the first input box 'destination disk' refer to? this is actually the windows to go usb? or the local internal hdd?
what does the conversion process actually do? it converts the USB drive? or it COPIES the contents of the usb drive BACK INTO the internal local hdd?
apologies if confusing
The destination disk is the Windows To Go drive which you want to convert to internal hard drive, the conversion process will directly convert the USB drive to an internal hard drive. After the conversion is complete, remove the hard disk from the USB enclosure and put it into the chassis, then you can boot from it.
