I used the VHD option of WinToUSB_Setup_2.0_VHD.exe to successfully write a VHD to a 64GB Corsair USB 3.0 key but it was woefully slow both to write the files and to complete the installation of drivers and Windows etc.
The Windows 10 ran woefully slow from this key too.
I would definitely suggest only using a USB 3.0 connected SSD in future.
I decided to try copying the VHD file from the USB Key to an internal disk (a SSD) in my notebook and boot that way.
It then ran fast and was quite usable.
I then tried the 3rd option of selecting an operating system from a Hard Drive but when this is selected the option to create a VHD is greyed out! Legacy is the only option and after rebooting nothing is written to the external SSD!
But a WinToUSB window pops up saying Cloning, please wait...
And on top of this an Error window saying: Specified disk not found.(0X0005003501220000)
I have since tried the latest build 2.1 beta (Build: Feb 12 2015) and upon starting the program I get an error window [error 1] attached then a further [error 2] attached.
