There's really not much more I can add. I've attached a screenshot of my disk that I image frequently. It's my system disk, which contains all the partitions I image (outlined in red) and the uefi partition (outlined in green). Everything that's red gets imaged and restored. After I do this the green partition acts as I described above. If I were to restore everything in red in HBS, the green partition will not function. If I then restore just the green partition with another imaging application (IFW, Macrium Reflect) it'll work fine. So, it has the needed loader. I'm not sure what the issue is.
