Creating Portable Windows on External SSD does not work

We are currently evaluating an option to run Windows of external drives based on information provided ( [Solved] How to create a portable Windows 11/10 USB drive in 2024? )

To test this we are using the following tools:

1. External SSD : Lexar NS100 256GB 2.5” SATA III Solid State Drive (SSD) LNS100-256RB
2. Within an ORICO SSD enclosure : Orico 2588US3 USB 3.0 to 2.5'' SATA External Hard Drive Enclosure

We have a custom HW that would eventually run a Windows 10 IoT enterprise OS. This HW is powered by Intel Atom based SOM with eMMC of 64GB.
Goal is to boot this device of a external HD and do basic tests before we image it with official windows image.
I followed the procedure: (Config.png)
Installation Source : Windows Consumer ISO downloaded from Visual Studio marketplace
Edition to Install : Window 10 Home (x64)
Destination Driver : The formatted Lexar 256GB SSD
Partition Scheme : GPT for UEFI
Installation Mode : Legacy

I notice the below behaviour:

1. Saving the boot options (BootOption.png)
2. After exit the HW Biost POST starts Windows (WindowsBootLogo.img)
3. Performs a reboot and start Windows again with the Just a moment boot animation for a long time - 10 min(LoadingAnimation.png)
5. After completion performed a reboot with error message (RestartError.png)
6. Even connecting to network does not help as it cannot identify a network connection

Could you please advise on the next steps to resolve these issues? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your assistance.

No user has ever reported experiencing this issue. In this case, we recommend that you do all the work of installing Windows to the USB driver on another computer and then try to run it on this computer.
