3. Tools | check image                                 - successful
4. restart HasLeo
5. Tools | check image - fails at estimating
                                   - cancel does not work
                                  - only solution  Task manager
6. restart HasLeo
7.  Tools | check image - fails at estimating
                                   - cancel does not work
                                   - only solution  Task manager
8. reboot computer
9. restart HasLeo
10. backup using 2. profile above
                                - fails at estimating
                                - cancel does not work
                                 - only solution  Task manager
11. Repeat starting at 1.

I also tried this with version 4.0   with the same results

My computer is Win 11 pro (all updates)

Perhaps it is my installation.  If someone else could try the above and post results it would confirm my findings (or not).

Edit: Just tried it on an older Win 10 computer... there were no issues.

@JayDee, just ran your test on my only Win11pro System using only my Downloads folder... no issues at all.  Usually I only do imaging (no issues with that under v4.2), no file'n'folder stuff... but it was fun to try Blush

If there's anything you'd like me to do, lemme know.

Just re-ran your test with a larger FileSet... still no issues.  I would look into AV intervention during the install, it just may have borked the install.  If you can, see if you can turn off Hasleo in the AV support area (white list it, if possible).

If the AV is the issue, you'll have to re-install Hasleo once it's been white listed (and may even have trouble uninstalling it).

Froggie:
Thanks for the  test.
Looks like it's something specific to this computer.
My old Win10 computer didn't have an issue.

I will explore the anti-virus possibility.
However, there's no other problems as long as I don't  run the "check image".
Even the "check image" works correctly for the first time after a fresh install.

Disabling anti-virus made no difference.

Solution:
1. manually uninstall HBS
2. delete the HasLeo folder in c:\Program Files
3. Install HBS
4. Restore tasks from backup

Problem solved

My suggestion was due to a possible corruption of the initial installation by your AV... after the fact wouldn't make much difference as to the result, the initial installation would already be broken.

Glad you finally got it resolved!
