Backup problem with Flash drive
#1
I have been using Macrium Reflect backup for about 3 years.
I decided to switch to Hasleo Backup Suite because Macrium Reflect
free version is no longer supported and MaximumPC recommended it.
I installed version 4.9.3 on my HP laptop. My backups to my Lexar 256Gb
USB3.0 flash drive took about 25 min. with Macrium. I started a system
backup and after about 30 min. it was at 8% and remaining time over 2 hours.
I canceled the backup and tried a backup with my "MY BOOK" 3.0 backup drive
and it was done in about 30 min. I tried again with the Lexar with the same results.
Any idea why this is not working? Based on the time it appears
that it was backing using USB 1.0 instead of 3.0.

The speed of a USB drive is determined by the USB protocol version number supported by the drive and the USB port of the computer you plug in, not by the application, are you sure that the USB drive is plugged into the same USB port when using Macrium and Hasleo?

Thanks for the reply.
I have 3 USB ports,1 type C and 2 type A
all are USB 3.0 SS
Yes, I get the same results from either USB type A port.
I tried downloading and installing the program which didn't help.
I like backing up to the flash drive because it less hassle but
I guess that I will have to use the "MY DRIVE" which is a hard drive.
Maybe a new version will fix the problem
