Issue with Import/Export of Backup Configuration
#1
Hello,
In my "server" room, I have 2 identical PCs that are running 24/7.
I am trying Hasleo Backup Suite 4.9.5 to back up some directories at a specific time every day.
I configured and tested everything on the first PC, and it works very well. Then I exported the configuration using the appropriate utility and imported it onto the second PC.
The second PC has the backup destination directory, but when I try to create a backup, I receive the message "The system cannot find the path specified. (0x19D008500000000)."
If I manually configure the backup on PC 2 exactly as I did on the first, everything works fine.
What I would like to do is save the task file on an external drive so that I can potentially use it in the future on a new PC. Is it possible to do this?
Thank you

I don't think that's currently possible. I had a similar problem with someone else's PC. The person tried to use the same backup job for 2 different external HDDs. This also results in error 0x19D008500000000 for the second HDD.

The problem is with the way how source and also destination drives are recognized by HBS.

I think it's a good idea that HBS doesn't find a source partition if something has changed with the drive like a new serial number or a resized partition etc. That way you'll know that something was changed and you can update the job, for example if windows decides to resize the recovery partition and similar stuff.

But I also wished that the destination drive would just be recognized by the drive letter. So when you decide to backup to E:\ it should just do so, no matter what new disk is now E:\ or whatever was changed on the destination drive.

In your special case, both, source and destination drive, probably cannot be found due to the way HBS recognizes the paths.

I'm sorry that Hasleo Backup Suite uses the unique partition identifier instead of the drive letter to identify a path, so you can't import tasks on another computer.
