USB Emergency Disk Size issue
#11
Why not use small USB's for boot, for me to be able to boot from a USB drive if my Windows install fails is a lifesaver, IMHO I just use a boot USB just for that not for other uess, again just my opinion but I have several boot USB's as the time saved for being able to restore a drive is beyond priceless & saves hours of work.

Yes, using a small USB flash drive dedicated to creating boot media is certainly the best. However, some users may only have larger USB flash drives, so they want to be able to effectively use the entire storage space of the drive. We cannot force users to prepare a small USB flash drive. Big Grin

@Sorrento,

I don't know if you have tried, but purchasing high-quality, low-capacity USB flash drives these days is almost impossible.  Most very reputable USB flash drives are usually 64 GB or higher.  Like others, I "dedicate" my larger-capacity USB flash drives to the creation of Emergency Recovery USBs specific to one product (I use three in rotation) for both of my computers, which for me means six dedicated Emergency Recovery USB flash drives.

For those users who would like to allocate the remaining space on a large-capacity USB drive to other storage requirements, that is possible, as discussed in the recent posts in this topic.  Each user has their own unique requirements and preferences, and the Hasleo Backup Suite allows all users to choose what works for them, as @admin has stated.

Have a great day, and thank you for your comments.

Regards,
Phil

I just use 8GB "cheapies" from Amazon. I keep the previous one in case the newer one fails (it hasn't happened).
I also find making them with the WinRE that, and this may be because my PCs are similar, that the flash drive boots on any machine regardless of which one created it.
