Can't Reset/Recover Forum Password

Want to setup forum access on second computer but have lost password - warning to all, a password safe doesn't help if it doesn't get the info placed in it.

Put in my username, CAPTCHA is happy, click on Retrieve or Lost Password.
Window comes up asking for my email which I put in and then click the Credentials... button.
Always comes back with a CAPTCHA error.

Obviously, something not right somewhere along the line.

It also seems that if I wasn't already logged in to the forum on a different computer, I could not submit this question since you have to login to make a post.

You're right, there's something wrong with the Captcha verification on the password reset dialog.
I get the same error message:

The Cloudflare Turnstile plugin for the MyBB forum doesn't support changing passwords, so I had to switch back to using MyBB's default CAPTCHA.

@admin If I read that correctly then this bug was introduced with the latest version 1.0.4 (released in February), see here.

Supposedly, the previous version doesn't have this problem. At least that's what one user said, don't know for sure. The only thing that was fixed with the latest version is "[Fix] Authorization code mismatch errors after Turnstile validation failures on reply as guest."

Since we don't have guest reply activated in this forum, maybe we could try version 1.0.3 then?

I took a quick look at the code, and version 1.0.3 doesn't handle lostpw either, so we might need to wait for the developer to take care of it.
