Not starting backup at shutdown-event

Backup at shutdown-event used to work in the past, but it hasn't been working for a while now (fast-reboot is disabled).
How can I check which shutdown event is expected here and why it is no longer being recognized ?

I just tried the shutdown event feature in a Win11 virtual machine and for me it triggered a backup during shutdown.

Here's a couple of questions and things to check that come into my mind:
- What Windows are you running? Windows 11?
- What backup type have you scheduled to run? Image (system/disk backup) or file backup?

- Are you sure your backup job has really an active event trigger with setting "User log off"?



- Can you recheck if your fast startup options are really deactivated in Windows?



- In Windows Event Viewer under Windows logs > Application there should be an entry from Source "VSS" with event id 8231 right when the backup starts:



- HBS should log if the backup job was started. Can you check if there's something listed?

@N8AKTIV, I just did multiple tests, and with fast startup disabled, the backups triggered by the shutdown event are working correctly on my side. So please make sure you have disabled fast startup in the power options.
