As a new user I was not clear on what backup type the Backup button would trigger (sometimes full... sometimes incremental)

I was looking for a setting for full/differential/incremental... eventually found it under Actions.

I think it would eliminate some confusion if you removed the Backup button and just went with the Actions button

In testing, I did a full disk restore (successfully)
I then initiated a differential backup
The differential completed (and was labelled as a differential) but was effectively the same size as a full backup.
So, for some reason,  the restored disk looked as tho' it was 100% different from the full backup that had just been restored... hence the very large size of the differential.

Not a real issue... just an observation.

I then ran a new full backup followed by a differential and this differential was (as expected) quite small.

It would appear that for a mixed schedule (full vs differential vs incremental where all are set to activate at the same time) that the order is important.
Only the first one listed will run... and that is as it should be.

Let's assume that the full is only monthly, then full  must be at the top of the list so that it runs and not the differential or incremental

I nice option would allow the scheduled items to be re-ordered so if full was added after previously setting up incremental/differential it could be moved to the top of the list.

I have just started using the backup suite.

However, I am not able to specify a network drive as a default storage location. Specifying a local drive works though.

Is this a limitation or am I doing something wrong?

Hi!

Well appreciated to understand what was created on my external drive after completion.

mbr for bios and UEFI:
I needed a copy of my drive (legacy Bios) because it is crashing at times
and 
a copy that can be installed in a new machine that I am still building with UEFI.

I am using the Win2USB Professional.

My source machine is an old Legacy Bios Toshiba laptop (2012). (477GB)

1. I choose my existing Windows64 10 pro (22H2) (SOURCE) to a WD 1 TB  external Drive (DESTINATION).
2. I choose mbr for bios and UEFI and ran it under the "Legacy" setting.
3. 5 hours later and all was created successfully.

two drives were created; that seem to exist within my external drive:
1. copy of my original source now labelled "F:" instead of "C:"
2. WINTOUSB labelled "G:"


The Source and Source Copy are the same (C & F)
The folder inside WINTOUSB looks like this:



my question is do i need to do anything other than have my external drive plugged in and set my bios to usb .....
and restart the machine to see if my old machine can boot ok in an emergency?

I'm currently testing HBSF 3.8 and trying to configure the 'Notifications' tab in 'Backup options' but every email address I try gives the error message "invalid email address. (0x1D301F00000000) and I can't save my changes.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Dear Hasleo team,

by chance I found Backup Suite V3.8 today.
I find the application almost perfect.

I know a company that uses about 7 PCs to test programs. These  PCs always have to be manually restore with an image.
Unfortunately, the End-User License Agreement states that use within the company is strictly prohibited.

Offer an opportunity to use Backup Suite V3.8 in a company for a fee.

I tried to run my Samsung PSSD T7 to Windows To Go Upgrader, but I always getting keep error message. I've tried to plug it a different computer, but I got the same error message. There is nothing wrong, I can run it without any issues. How to fix that?

I have been using WintoHDD since 2022, and i can't blame that it's very good.
But, as you look at my attachment, you will see an error.
Even my network works well, this error still appears.
Hope you will reply me  . I'll greatly appreciate if you give me the solution  .
