Hi, I use the soft to make a .iso image of windows 7 ultimate x86 to a 16 GB Kingston pen drive, but does not load windows 7 on put it and immediately error message "disk read error occurred," press ctr + alt + del to restart. I tested on other PCs and message shows too. How to proceed? Thanks. My installed copy of windows on the PCs is Windows 8.1.

I am trying to create a Windows 10 Pro to a 64gig USB 3.0 flash drive using an ISO image.  I am allocating the whole flash drive to WINtoUSB. I changed it to VHD installation mode and still can't get past this error.  I also tried a different brand USB flash drive and got the same error.  I am using build 2.7

Having searched for it on the forum with no result for a working solution I'm asking
Anyone else having this error message at boot time after successful creation on a VHDX on a USB stick
My config is Windows 10 VHDX on a 64 GB stick

I've searched the web for this error in general but what is the meaning of this error in the particular case of WinTo USB?

WintoUSB is great, worked first time.

I have installed a Windows 10 ISO to a VHD on the USB harddirive, but now would like to add others and then have a boot menu come up to be able to select which VHD to boot to.

Is this possible?

Every time I start EasyUEFI I receive a message stating "Unable to access version data. Please make sure the internet is connected, and try again." and the only way to stop this is to uncheck the "Check update on startup" box which obviously means I need to check manually (as and when I remember).

Is this a known issue or do I have to open a specific port for the program to be able to communicate with your update server?

Trying to install windows 8.1 ISO to USB SATA (ISO works, I have installed it to computers with no issues)

SATA HDD Has a 300mb fat32 system partition(tried with and without the EFI system partition flag), 203gb windows partition, and 30gb recovery

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I have created a USB stick from a Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (x64) .iso that has been slipstreamed with several years of Windows Updates, however the environment created is barebones (SP1), with no updates at all.

Is there a way to have WinToUSB create the full installation with all updates included?

I have tried creating both a Legacy and VHD instance, with the same results.

Installed/running on a Win10 Enterprise VM, the update check dialog pops and does not complete. Can't be cancelled. Not frozen hung, but spinning endlessly instead.

Pretty sure firewall or AV is catching/blocking it though whitelisting doesn't help. Any commandline switch I can pass to bypass the initial update check at first run?
