Hi. I’m a newbie and with a Windows 10 22H2 PC, I made some backups with Hasleo v4.0.
Today I realized that, after upgrading to v4.0, WinPE.iso was not present in the Hasleo ‘bin’ folder.
I then launched the emergency disk creation procedure. After about 1 minute, the procedure stops at 63% and there it stays forever (the background Hasleo Backup Suite Service Application process is shown as "suspended"); I cannot close the application and the only way I can break the situation is to reboot the PC.
I tried several times with the same result.
Looking at the contents of disk C: I noticed that a “WinPETem” folder had been created with a new folder inside named 
55ce1990-2ca1-4c0e-af66-6c455aad8d84 with subfolders:
C:\WinPETem\55ce1990-2ca1-4c0e-af66-6c455aad8d84\
            ISO\boot
            ISO\efi
            ISO\source
            mount\Program Files
            mount\ProgramData
            mount\sources
            mount\Users
            mount\Windows
I also noticed that each time I tried to create the emergency disk, a subfolder similar to the one described had been created in C:\WinPETem folder which has reached 16 GB.
I am Administrator with full control over disc C: and I tried to delete C:\WinPETem. But the deletion is not allowed (access denied).
For info I have a second photocopy PC where the iso creation worked correctly and where no C:\WinPETem was created.
I tried to re-install v4.0 on itself (without uninstalling it first) without success.
I don't know what to do anymore and especially I don't know how to get rid of the C:\WinPETem folder which has reached 16 GB !...
Any advice?

P.S. - I managed with difficulty to delete the C:\WinPETem folder by booting with Linux, but now I am afraid to run the emergency disk creation procedure again.

Restoring a folder issue

I maybe missing something so advice would be appreciated...

I wanted to restore a folder from a previous backup
1. Browsed image to restore
2. selected appropriate image
3. browsed to and selected the folder "DzHTMLText-4.2"
4. entered "c:\junk" in the "Restore to:"
5. clicked proceed and restore was successful
6. browsed to c:\ junk and found folder "C+"
  Inside "C+" was the complete tree of the restored folder
  "C:\junk\C+\lazarus-3.0RC2-fpc-3.2.2-win64\components\3rdPartyAddOns\DzHTMLText-4.2"
 
 
  I had expected to see just:
    c:\junk\DzHTMLText-4.2

Did I miss something?

I purchased HDR this morning an hour ago, around 9:30 AM MST. I was testing it on my personal laptop and mistakenly activated it on the wrong pc. please let me know how to unregister the laptop so the software can be activated on my work desktop.

First of all, many thanks to Hasleo Software for offering the Hasleo Backup Suite. A very nice tool developed actively by Hasleo.

Kindly, is it possible to exclude files and folders before starting System Backups and Disk / Partition Backups?

For example, some folders like C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Temp can contain a lot of unnecessary files increasing the size of the backups.

I created a bootable EasyUEFI USB and when I boot using USB hard disk does not show up in the list of disk.
What can I do? I bought the EasyUEFI thinking it will work. My Laptop is acer Travelmate.

I wanted to ask:

- Is it correct that Hasleo Backup uses VSS (volume shadow copy) ALWAYS for EVERY backup?
- For example when I start "Macrium Reflect" and "R-Drive Image", I always have to click "YES" to give administrator privileges.
- It is my guess that Hasleo does not need this because it uses a service, and the app itself does not need administrator priviledges because it makes use of this service that can do administrator-tasks?

Is this correct?

Hello everyone,
I'm using the system clone to transfer an existing Windows 11 (GPT, UEFI, M.2) to a new computer. However, the new computer (Intel 13th generation) requires IRST drivers for the M.2 SSD. I have the drivers available, and I can create a new Windows 11 system.

But how can I boot the system clone? The drivers are not present there, which is why it's not detecting any hard drives?

Windows 11 Full File Backup fails with the following error:
        Cant print error and the actual log I can't figure out the right tool to read it through all the characters.  See attachment.  It mentions virus but I ran two full system scans and it was clean. This is the first time running files (ran twice with error).
Backup of system image completed ok.

Hi,
When you create a backup with a password, Hasleo prompts in red that the password is weak until it is a certain length. That is helpful for security.

When you do a restore, it also displays the red text that the password is weak until a certain number of characters are entered. That almost seems like a hint and is not necessary or good for security. I am guessing it is part of the code that creates a password and was carried over to the restore code too?

It's a very minor thing, but users should not think the program is trying to help them guess a password. If I thought my friends password was the name of one of their 2 dogs, Max or Maggie, and I entered the name of the name dog Max, it appears Hasleo will alert me that Max is not enough characters, and  I would try the other name.

When I boot into WinPE mode to do a restore the screen is very small and difficult to read.

Laptop resolution is 1920x1080.


Is there anyway of changing resolution so screen is bigger (currently about 20% of screen area).
